Genealogical and Historical Societies
Genealogical and Historical Societies often have a wealth of information. Many provide services in their area that will aid you in your research. If you live in the area, a visit to the Society can be a very beneficial trip. Many of the Societies provide services free while others charge a minimal amount. When asking for help, please do not ask them to search for every Surname you are researching. If you are using snail mail, be sure to enclose a SASE. Please and Thank You are important words to remember when requesting help.
